The COSMILE EUROPE app is a neutral and independent shopping aid. It scans the barcode on the packaging of personal care and cosmetic products (skin, hair, teeth) and provides information on 23,000 different ingredients according to the International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI).

*Please note: in this version of the app you will find products only for the German speaking cosmetic market. The COSMILE EUROPE app is dynamic - it is constantly being expanded to include more brands and more products from different European countries. *

The products are not evaluated, leaving the responsible and well-informed consumer with the freedom to make decisions.

Users are informed
- about functions/tasks of the ingredient in the product
- concerning ingredients whose allergenic potential is known and declared accordingly (e.g. fragrance mix)
- on scientific assessment/positions on ingredients and their health effects
- about background knowledge (FACTs) on topics that are discussed in public e.g. microplastics, parabens (preservatives)
